I discovered this podcast when I was looking up Pollock’s Toy Museum and the Toy Shop, remembering how much I loved visiting. I have really enjoyed every episode and can’t wait to hear more. I love collecting toys and dolls, I love puppets and children’s book illustration, so every topic interested me. I pretty much binged the whole series in a couple days. The host, Simon, is excellent at storytelling and interviewing his guests. Highly recommend, five stars!!!
As someone who spends a lot of the time on the road and in traffic it is great to find a podcast which explores Illustration and Toy Theatres through a series of seriously interesting and knowledgeable guests. Listening to the fantastical origins of Toy Theatres and the inspiration of contemporary artists is a joy and anyone interested in the subject or the history of Pollocks will love it.
Such a fun podcast to listen to! I highly recommend it and am looking forward to future episodes. Recommended listening to those interested in toys, theaters or The Harlequinade. I enjoyed the voice of the gentleman who hosted this podcast very much.
Such a great podcast. Loved it. Very interesting to hear about the Harlequinade, looking forward to hearing more.
A hidden gem.
