A good introduction to the roots and themes of children literature, with special attention to folk tales, fairy tales and myths. The professor mentions a series of interesting websites and bibliography where the student can find more information.
A joy to listen to, very informative. I recommend it to anyone interested in books.
This course covers a broad history for the subject. Beginning with ancient myths and creation stories, the lectures bring up some interesting points in tying modern and ancient storytelling techniques. Very well worth listening to.
