The content is interesting and well-written, but the cadence and tone of the narrator can be difficult to listen to for long. The sing-songy, patronizing way she speaks makes it impossible to binge.
So interesting! If you are a history and interesting fact junkie, you will love these. The narrator is great because her voice is soothing and unassuming. She tells the story without being boring or trying to be cute. It's really a great gem. I hope everyone gives it a try. BTW, the Victorian Filth episode was mind-boggling.
Just listened to the first 3 episodes of History Obscura and I am HOOKED! Mandy is a natural storyteller and her range of topics is awesome. The pace of each episode is engaging and I love the background music. I’ve definitely got a new go-to podcast! Thanks for all you’re doing, Mandy!
