ナパバレーというと高級カリフォルニアワイン。または高級リゾート地といった印象がある方が多いと思うのですが、私にとってはアメリカの故郷でもあります。16歳の学生の時から田舎で何もない場所でガレージバンドが大好きだった学生時代。富裕層ばかり集まるワインオークションやワイン業界で唯一の日本人として就職したこと、結婚も離婚も20代前半で経験した思い出の味はナパバレーで有名なカベルネの赤ワインのようなフルボディな味でいっぱいです。今の私はその頃に結成されたことなしでは語れません。
