  • Fun listen.

I think the narrator slowed his voice down because if you speed it up slightly he sounds like a normal person

  • So good

This podcast is excellent fiction. Very lynchian- i can feel a pulse of twin peaks but it has a unique pacing, delivery, setting and story of its own. Great voice acting. The main character is classic. There is existential terror here but also a dryness- I laughed out loud a few times. Very creative. Cant wait for more

  • In four episodes literally no plot has happened. Don't make me sit through a full movie's worth of boring expository dialog before putting anything interesting into the show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

FBI Agent Ken Lanning and the Satanic Panic: Season Two Kickstarter Now Live
Q: How do you differentiate between belief and evidence when evaluating these cases?
By focusing on explicit corroboration, alternative explanations, and querying how stories are formed over time, rather than accepting graphic memories alone; understanding that some details may be accurate while others are not, and recognizing contamination from leading questions or hypnotic suggestion.
FBI Agent Ken Lanning and the Satanic Panic: Season Two Kickstarter Now Live
Q: What initially drew you to the satanic ritual abuse topic, and how did your understanding evolve over time?
I started by collecting cases with the four core features and then expanded to examine why even highly educated professionals believed these narratives, recognizing how fear, zealotry, and emotional investment can distort objectivity, and how evidence sometimes fails to corroborate the sensational claims.

Frequently Asked Questions About Harvey in Hell

What is Harvey in Hell about and what kind of topics does it cover?

A desert-noir horror fiction series centers on an FBI agent navigating disappearances near a fiery lake on the Utah–Nevada border. Across episodes, listeners are treated to a moody mix of private investigators, cult rumors, casino culture, haunted broadcasts, and psychological tension, all anchored by an unreliable narrator and surreal, dreamlike sequences. Notable strengths include atmospheric sound design, multi-character interplay, and ongoing serialized storytelling that blurs reality and fiction. The show's blend of crime, horror, and mythic imagery makes it appealing to fans of Lynchian and noir-inspired audio dramas, and its provocative live-broadcast motifs add a distinctive twist to the format.
