I came to this podcast via TCBcast and reckoned I would listen to the episodes that included Elvis. Wrong. These guys are knowledgeable and interesting and I ended up listening all the way through. To learn more about your favorite artists, or maybe some you aren’t familiar with or just to bring back memories (shout out for the mention of Buzzcocks and the Undertones), this podcast includes it all.
I just listened to the little Dead episode after 1957 nominees and want to add to your review number to push toward whatever thing we're trying to make Tim listen to.
I’m a late comer to this pod, but I can’t get enough. I’m having so much fun running through the history of music since 1951!
I recently discovered this and have been binging. Only up to 1960, and depressed that the time for me to vote for my musical eras has pretty much already passed!
But still loving the backstories, and picking what songs I would have voted for if I had been following from the beginning.
Every episode is a great overview of a single year in pop music history.
I saw someone mention the Chris Molanphy episode over the weekend and was hooked. (I’m a chart geek and 53 so I grew up with Casey and Rick Dees et al) Great conversations between two friends with excellent chemistry and interesting takes on songs I both know and love and those I only only know a little. I have been evangelizing the entire podcast to friends of like mind. I’m sorry I didn’t find it sooner cos I would have liked to have voted earlier! Jump on board! It’s fun!
