This podcast is so incredible. For anyone wanting to understand all aspects of the graphic novel business (or really the business of book selling, making and marketing in general) this podcast is a must. Thank you Gina and Alison!
Fabulous resource for GN creators that want info about the whole process in trad publishing. Interviews are really well thought of, the hosts ask all the interesting questions. Well done!
This podcast saves you time and money by explaining topics you'd otherwise bumble through on your own. The publishing world is a convolted and confusing place, but the hosts light your way with their passion for the subject and help peel back the layers.
An excellent listen for anyone invovled, looking to be invovled, or just curious about what's involved with books/comics publishing.
The show is a gift on several levels. The hosts are experts but never talk down, and they have great conversational chemistry to boot. The guests I’ve listened to so far have been terrific picks — well-placed in the business, thoughtful, articulate. Impressive material all around.
Wilgus and Gagliano go into amazing, thorough detail on every step of creating a graphic novel. It’s inspiring to hear from so many people working in non-superhero long-form comics (although superhero comics are represented as well). The two presenters are knowledgeable and clearly having such a good time. Also, the podcast doesn’t delay getting into each episode’s main content, apparently a rarity. Please don’t stop, and keep zooming in on more aspects of the process!
