  • Grace of God extended to us through the word.

I started listening to Grace to you almost 6years ago when I stumbled on Family Radio. I was so excited to hear the unfiltered word of God that I had to search out the podcast when I missed an episode. I’m grateful to God for the truth that has been revealed through the scriptures and has been explained through Pastor John. Grateful to God for His life and legacy. This podcast is an answer to Apostle Paul’s prayer in his epistles to the Colossians.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Rejection of the True Shepherd (A)
Q: If you're in the presence of the Lord, why is it necessary to be judged on Judgment Day?
It is a judgment for rewards, not for sins; believers already bear the penalty of sin on the cross, so this judgment determines the rewards one receives for deeds done in faith.
To Marry or Not to Marry (B)
Q: Hi, this is Phil from Tampa, Florida. In Deuteronomy 24, what if the woman left the first husband? Can remarriage to the first husband occur after she remarries?
John explains that divorce without biblical grounds prevents returning to the original spouse; remarriage to the first husband is not permitted in such cases, and the broader principle is that marriage is a God-designed, lifelong covenant that transcends Old Testament details.
Bible Questions and Answers, Part 68
Q: What about the idea that God leads people to do things, like giving gifts or making choices, and how should believers discern this?
The guest cautions against over-attributing every feeling or impulse to God; one should consider providence after the fact and be cautious about presuming direct divine ordering in real-time decisions; pray, seek wisdom, and evaluate outcomes in hindsight.
Bible Questions and Answers, Part 68
Q: If someone asks us to forgive them for sin, is withholding forgiveness ever justified until they repent or make restitution?
The host suggests forgiveness as a general stance should be extended to others, though the restoration of the relationship may require genuine repentance and reconciliation; withholding forgiveness fully would risk bitterness and harm in the forgiver.
Bible Questions and Answers, Part 68
Q: How do you reconcile forgiving unconditionally with passages that emphasize repentance and confession?
John MacArthur explains that forgiveness in practice can be offered as a general attitude even when full transactional repentance isn't immediately evidenced; the believer's relationship with God is based on ongoing confession and forgiveness, but everyday interpersonal forgiveness can be given without requiring a formal, case-by-case confession.
