  • These are my kind of people!!

As a child of the 80’s these shoes help me relive the nostalgia of being a kid during, what I believe, was the best time to be a kid!! The gen-x crew do an amazing job of discussing collecting, movies, cartoons, etc... with legitimate nerd curiosity and leave out the current trend of hating on a story just because it didn’t go the direction you wanted. Just colourful fun, just like the 80’s!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ready To Believe - A chat with Brandon Mindel of BCDelorean
Q: Do you have a favorite version of the Ecto-1, and if you could create your own version for a future movie, what would it be like?
Brandon favors the Ecto-1 as depicted in Ghostbusters (84) for its classic appeal, while he also loves the more flamboyant Ecto-1A; for a future build, he imagines a large, white Ecto-bus with a mobile containment unit and an oversized proton pack, leaning into a bold, showy design that still respects the franchise's spirit.
Epi. 7 - Real Ghostbusters Review: "Mrs. Rogers' Neighborhood" and "Robo-Buster" w/ Ryan Doell
Q: What makes Mrs. Rogers' Neighborhood stand out in early Real Ghostbusters?
The combination of spooky visuals, a claustrophobic haunted-house setting, and strong character dynamics, especially Winston and Ray, elevates it beyond simple monster-of-the-week plotting, making it feel like a genuine, eerie adventure with memorable visuals.
Epi. 10 - Real Ghostbusters Review: "The Devil to Pay" and "The Copycat"
Q: What did you think about the lack of proton packs in The Devil to Pay?
The group noted it as a surprising departure that didn't bother them much because the episode's humor and concept carried it.
GXW - Epsidoe 495 - "Mando & Grogu Trailer"
Q: What stood out about the trailer opening shots?
The opening shot features X-Wings and Y-Wings at sunset, evoking classic Star Wars imagery and a Top Gun-like sense of aerial scale.
GXW - Episode 504 - "Conan the Barbarian"
Q: What stands out most about Conan's portrayal in this film?
The group notes that Conan functions as a force of nature rather than a traditional hero; he's morally simple, incredibly powerful, and relies on a loyal crew, which makes the team dynamic central to the plot.
