5 star pod but 3 stars for the free feed available on this platform. I understand the push for Patreon and the 2-3 minutes at the top of each show plugging it, and I also get that the PHT crew would want to fund their production. I am out of SD and am only able to catch up every so often during long drives, so I check in here on the free show rather than pay for the podcast and its mostly live perks on Patreon. …and guys this funny aren’t usually this smart. When I can swing it in the budget, I jump back into the Patreon / Discord.
The Patron-only (and ad-free!) postgame shows, Banter episodes, and deep weekly dives into the team are stellar content, but even the weekly free episodes are great.
These guys obviously love baseball, respect each other, and play off each other really well. As a San Diego native and Padres fan since the 90s, I’ve really enjoyed this podcast since 2018 (when it was MTPGA).... more
