Funny You Ask is a weekly comedy-trivia show hosted by Ike Barinholtz, who gathers his funniest friends to question their most random, odd, and “wait… why do you know that?” obsessions with the world. Soup? Sure, why not. The Mets? Duh. Roman Empire? You got it, Caesar. It’s part conversation, part pop quiz, and full of knowledge you didn’t know you needed—until now. The score doesn’t matter, the ... more

I love Trivia. I love Ike. Therefore, I love this podcast.
Started listening after Ike's appearance on Conan. It's hilarious and charming.
As a funny podcast where funny people talk about funny stuff, it’s great. If you are a trivia nerd it’s a little disappointing. Very few actual trivia questions. I was honestly hoping for an equal mix of banter and trivia and it’s about 90% banter and 10% trivia. To be fair I have only listened to the first episode. Hoping they dig in deeper on the trivia aspect in later episodes. But as a fun and funny podcast I like it. I’ll up the star level if I listen more and they do more trivia.
I like Ike and I like trivia but it’s hard to listen to because the volume level is inconsistent. I listen in the truck and sometimes he speaks just above a whisper and next he is laughing loudly and almost yelling. I’m constantly turning the volume up and down. I listened to Kaling, Hudson and Kimmel and gave up with Haddish. They could use some tips/advice from Conan’s engineers.
In the current hellscape of (gestures at everything) this is delightful and refreshing like a mojito on a summer day. Enjoyed watching Ike on Jeopardy. Multiply that by 500 and you’ve got this show. The only thing I don’t like is I’m discovering this early on and now I can’t binge listen a lot of episodes. 5/5 would recommend.
