  • Small Mind

He invokes Jesus while forgetting that He rejected the sword and confronted evil without humiliation or violence.

A gospel that depends on contempt has already drifted from the One who chose the cross instead of victory through force.

  • Lapsed, but not disengaged

As a lapsed Catholic I was hesitant to reach out past what is considered “approved.” I’m grateful that there are people pushing back against the hierarchy, wherever it is, in an effort to seek the truth.

  • An hour of nitpicking!

I’ve listened to Foolproof Theology with an open mind, even though I’m not theologically or politically conservative. I often find myself deeply uncomfortable—if not outright repulsed—by the positions they take. Episode 180, where they critique *Practicing the Way*, was a prime example. Rather than offering thoughtful engagement, they come across as dismissive and mean-spirited, tearing down a sincere effort to help people grow in their faith. No matter how they try to frame it, the tone reveals... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

190 - Mark Hopson on Evangelism in the Negative World
Q: What distinguishes Decision Point's approach from others like Young Life?
Decision Point emphasizes bold public proclamation and equipping students to lead their own outreach weeks, rather than staff-led efforts, while maintaining relational care and legal preparation for school environments.
190 - Mark Hopson on Evangelism in the Negative World
Q: How can people in hostile workplaces or communities begin to share their faith without fear?
Start with small, everyday steps like offering to pray for coworkers, sharing a simple gospel track, and gradually increasing conversations while relying on foundational biblical truths and legal protections.
192 - David Edgington on White Knights and Reviling Wives
Q: What is Newthetic Counseling and why is it important?
Newthetic Counseling is anchored in the Word of God, aimed at addressing sin directly, and relies on the Holy Spirit to convict and change hearts rather than relying on secular psychology or mere behavior modification.
192 - David Edgington on White Knights and Reviling Wives
Q: Why did you write this book originally?
The author explains that there was nothing from a biblical perspective addressing the problem of abuse in marriage, which led him to write and later self-publish when traditional publishers refused due to controversy.
186 - Christ is King: A High Schooler's Challenge to Vivek Ramaswamy on Faith and America's Future
Q: How did you feel when you went up to confront Vivek Ramaswamy?
I was a mix of nervous and confident, I prayed for courage before going up.
