What a great show. These two bring a great insight to current events, and info people of the latest concern around the country.
stories that reveal the problem with religion in general and why we need separation of church and state in specific. The universe would be better off with more Friendly Atheists and more episodes of this podcast.
You guys are freaking awesome and inspiring! I’ve listened to you for several years now, and the show is a must listen every week, without exception. I emerged from 36 years of Catholicism after a military deployment to Iraq in 2007, and after reading “The God Delusion”. Yes, I know :(, but it was as a foundational book to me. The show centers on religion, civil rights, and culture-war topics, with meticulous reporting, data-driven critique, and brisk discussion between two long-running hosts. Episodes routinely dissect church-state separation, political actions around religion, and how media frames these issues, often weaving in broader international angles and lighter pop-culture notes. A standout is the hosts' ability to balance rigorous research with sharp commentary and humor, resulting in thoughtful, accessible episodes that appeal to listeners who want both context and a clear stance on religious liberty and secular governance.
