緣起（小朋友版）
在很久很久以前，世界上有一位很有智慧的佛，名叫弗沙佛。
那時候，釋迦牟尼佛還沒有成佛，他是一位住在山裡、修行的好人，心地善良，常常為別人著想；大家都叫他菩薩。同一個時代，還有另一位很用功的菩薩，叫做彌勒菩薩。
弗沙佛靜靜地觀察後發現：
釋迦牟尼菩薩很有愛心，雖然還需要多學習智慧，但將來能幫助很多已經準備好學佛的人；

光明真言，全名為「毘盧遮那佛大灌頂光真言」，出自密教大日如來法門。
依《中華佛教百科全書》與《佛光大辭典》對〈光明真言〉的解釋：
由大日如來（毘盧遮那佛）宣說，被視為「一切諸佛菩薩之總咒」。
此咒主要功用為滅除一切罪障、消除現世病痛與災厄，並能幫助亡者往生西方極樂淨土，是密教極具神力的滅罪、息災、度亡法門。
此真言以無相光明為本質，象徵智慧、清淨與不可思議的加持力。
光明真言只有二十七個音譯漢字，二十三個悉曇梵文，是全文皆有意義的梵文咒語：

《藥師咒》有大咒、小咒之分；大咒就是咒語的全文，小咒即心咒，其內容在漢、藏、日各有不同說法。
東密（日本真言宗）傳統中，「藥師佛心咒」是從《藥師琉璃光如來本願功德經》中的長咒（藥師灌頂真言）簡化而來的短咒。
因此，東密藥師佛心咒是藥師佛灌頂真言的簡短梵音版本，又稱〈藥師小咒〉。此咒出自唐．阿地瞿多所譯《陀羅尼集經》卷二，及金剛智所譯《藥師如來觀行儀軌法》等所記之〈藥師琉璃光佛印咒〉。
