Recount an exciting chapter in aviation history and the beginnings of the Air Line Pilots Association, the world’s largest pilot union and nongovernmental air safety organization, through an abridged retelling of the book by George E. Hopkins, ”Flying the Line.” Volume 1 narrated by Corey Kuhn. Volume 2 narrated by Gina Leahy.

One of my favourite podcasts. Although its more an audiobook released semi-monthly. Wonderfully read and exciting to listen to. A great listen for anyone interested in aviation or ALPA.
I’m really enjoying the content of this book the the podcast style format is pretty painful, there is zero reason for the episodes to be 15-20 minutes long, you end up listening to the intro and outro constantly for no reason
Any plans for the second book?
Fly the Line is a must read for all pilots. If you don’t know history you are bound to repeat it. So many sacrificed so much for us to get were we are today, don’t let their hard work go to waste.
Very interesting. It’s amazing how history repeats itself in the airline industry and the problems of the first generation of pilots are almost still the same today
