  • Fine, not much depth

The show is alright. I don’t really know what audience is being served. Very generic, surface level insight. Casuals won’t learn anything, hardcore fans will learn nothing new.

Good podcast with Jim Jackson. I still believe the current management was at fault for Cutter not signing because they would not sign him to a pro contract after the 2023 College season. At the time, the Flyers should have found a method to sign him. A real downer in my book.

  • Great job!

Great job guys in analyzing the Flyers situation as the season comes to an end. Your rather solemn tone was both appropriate and reasonable considering the obvious lack of high end talent on the squad.

Should be fascinating to see how the front office goes about acquiring top line forwards and first pair defensemen. Something we obviously don’t have right now.

So while this season was encouraging, next year may be even tougher. Also, I fear the loss of Cutter Gauthier will haunt the franchise f... more

Solid content with this week’s podcast in highlighting of the Hart issue and Danny’s press conference. I enjoy listening to you, Brooke and Joe. I also like the live feeds from the Bet Rivers Casino too. Continued success with the podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Flyers blanked by Hurricanes in Game 1; Jim Jackson on what went wrong
Q: Dump or chase: will Michkov or Martone win MVP someday based on their early careers and potential impact for the Flyers?
The hosts and JJ project that both Michkov and Martone have high ceilings, with Michkov having extraordinary vision and Martone bringing power-forward presence. However, winning MVP typically requires being near the top of scoring and sustained production, so while high potential exists, it may be more probable that one of them becomes a pillar for the future rather than seizing MVP early in their careers.
Flyers racing towards playoffs with two games to go, previewing end-of-season awards
Q: Which players have stood out most during this late-season push and how are the awards shaping up?
The group highlights Sean Couturier for leadership and resilience, while Porter Martone and Tyson Forrester are praised for energizing the team; Dan Vlader is championed as MVP-level goaltending, though debates remain about who should win top defenseman and most improved.
Flyers vs Penguins playoff preview with Jim Jackson; X-factors and reasons to believe
Q: Who goes first?
The group confirms the order of play for the Dump or Chase segment, with the guest starting, then back-and-forth between the hosts and the guest.
LIVE Reaction to Bobby Brink trade + Danny Briere Press Conference
Q: Is there a clear strategy behind the Bobby Brink trade and the acquisition of a top-four style defenseman?
The consensus is that the Brink trade was about future potential and positional balance, bringing in a big, young defenseman while preserving cap flexibility and depth at forward for a longer horizon; the front office is prioritizing value and development over immediate playoff pressure.
Tyson Foerster's injury impact, Danny Briere interview, and more
Q: Did you foresee the goaltending situation going this way with Dan Vlodar?
Briere suggested they had intel that Vlodar could play a solid role, and he has exceeded expectations as part of a goaltending tandem.
