I’ve been in the dealer automotive industry since 2007. Sales, Service advisor and now Technician. It’s wild how relevant and relatable this all is. How much the same all dealerships are. Love the comedy side, but he really does have some great advise for a Flat Rate Tech! Keep it going!!!
I look forward for a new episode to come out. I am never let down with the content and how much this “Comedy” podcast makes me laugh.
I'm a shop owner and this guy exposes all of our secrets. Everything is about NUMBERS, brown nose techs make the most money, certified guys get the shaft, all because I need a 2nd vacation home with a boat and a gold plated RZR to show everyone else how much of a peasant they are.
Most informative mechanic podcasts I’ve ever listened to.
Also don’t trust the cat people
I’ve been in the industry 40 years and this guy is spot on with the issues we face

The series centers on the realities of working in automotive repair, with a strong focus on the flat-rate pay model, shop politics, and the tug-of-war between technicians and management. Episodes often blend sharp personal anecdotes with hard-edged critiques of pay structures, warranty economics, tool debt, and burnout, while proposing systemic changes and avenues for technicians to protect their livelihoods. A notable thread is the pushback against perceived industry incentives that underpay skilled workers, boost turnover, and suppress long-term career growth. The tone tends toward candid, no-nonsense storytelling, peppered with practical observations for technicians, shop owners, and service advisors who crave transparency and reform.
