Hey all! We're so excited to share this chat we had with the incredible Samantha Sloyan last week. You love to hate her in Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club, and Usher, but in real life, Sam is so incredibly lovely and thoughtful. We had an absolute b... more

While looking for a new podcast I came across Kingslingers and I was pleasantly surprised how insightful and positive Scott and Matt were. I rapidly listened to their backlog of Stephen King discussions. Then being a huge Hill House fan, moved on to Flanagan’s Wake and have been loving it just as much. They are smart, funny and relatable and you can tell they have a passion for what they talk about. I’m looking forward to catching up to the present and possibly getting in on the conversation wit... more
Diving into Flanagan’s Wake has been such a refreshing shift from my usual reading and watching habits. Recently Matt and Scott are making the world of Edgar Allan Poe with Mike Flanagan’s help feel welcoming, clever, and surprisingly addictive. Following along as they unpack the original stories behind The Fall of the House of Usher. Midnight Mass, Bly Manor, Hill House and The Midnight Club, opened up a genre I never thought I’d enjoy as much, I’m like Matt, I don’t care for scare. It’s been a... more
I found this podcast after watching and loving Haunting of Hill House and looking for more context on my newest hyper fixation. Maybe it’s because I’m a fellow ‘85 millennial, but I really enjoy the conversations, different perspectives and deep dives. I’m currently listening to the Midnight Mass episodes, and as someone who did not grow up in religion, I appreciate the added context from Scott and Matt. Also, the humor and different references crack me up (you had me at “our pets heads are fall... more
The work of Mike Flanagan, modern master of horror, is brilliantly eulogised by the insightful and entertaining Scott and Matt. It’s always enthralling listening to people talk passionately about things they love (doubly-so when you’re just as passionate yourself), so this podcast is definitely a must for any fans of the Flanaverse.
I’ve heard it said before that listening to a podcast is like being a ghost haunting other people’s conversations, so don’t mind me as I lurk silently in the bac... more
I found these guys from Kingslingers on my second trip to the Tower and followed them to Flanagan's after making it through the Kingslinger backlog. They got me to rewatch the Flanagan Netflix offerings and to give Midnight Club another shot and I'm glad I did; I stopped at the 2nd episode years ago as well, so that statistic holds up!Wish I found them before the Bangor event. I'm sad I missed it, and so envious of everyone that was able to go.
