  • The Best. Full stop.

This is the actual play podcast I’ve been looking for. Great GM, informed players, and enough out of character shenanigans to make you feel like you’re sitting at the table with them.

  • Exceptional

Brilliant actual play podcast defined for me by the respect shown by the crew for the rules, the setting, and each other. Great quality production and editing, to achieve the best balance between story telling and game play I’ve heard.

  • Fantastic world building

Really a great GM, the world feels alive. Right down to the food.

And on that note, really break the immersion when every nice meal or drink description is followed by someone almost gagging

  • Ok until around episode 54

The voice acting is ok, but it isn’t great. I really liked how they would go over all of the rules and do so many knowledge checks for all kinds of background information. I also like hearing about the experience gained. They stopped with the experience points because apparently they were distracting. Then they started censoring swear words with noises like a sword slash, and that was odd until either episode 54 or 55 when someone started swearing like every other sentence. It got to a point whe... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

After Party LIVE! Episode 34
Q: How do you wedge relationships with adventure path NPCs and new player character backstories?
It's important to collaborate with players to ensure their backstories fit, while still maintaining the overall theme of the campaign.
After Party LIVE! Episode 27
Q: Would your advice change for characters that are being used in organized play campaigns like Pathfinder Society?
I would actually think you have more freedom to base a character off of something from media, because a lot of times, if you're participating in society, you're probably sitting down with different groups of people all the time.
After Party LIVE! Episode 26
Q: Are you going to Gen Con again this year?
Yes, the rest of us will be there. There is an official meet and greet.
After Party PaizoCon 2025 Special
Q: Will we see more of Yvalli?
I would love to see more Yvalli, but I don't expect to do a gods-focused divine book again in the immediate future.
After Party PaizoCon 2025 Special
Q: Could you tell us more about the Dragonet ancestry or any of the Draconian deities?
The Dragonet ancestry is a cute little character option where you choose a heritage that gives you different abilities and breath attacks.
