  • Toxic Relationship

I listen to the podcast to stay up to date on current movies without being exposed to all that woke nonsense.

But what really bothers me is how Chris treats Alan. It sometimes feels like a narcissist abusing their partner in a toxic relationship.

  • Disney adults

These guys are Disney through and through. One has a kid and talks like it. Other guy is sober and talks like it. They are meh for guys in there 20’s and 30’s. There reviews are fine. It would be better if they talked like they were not talking to children and parents.

  • Thank goodness for you.

I was a slave to Filmcast for years. But the over wokeness was too much. Finding this podcast after hunting through many is a Godsend. Smart people, passionate and fair. All I wanted and exactly what I got. Then exceeded that. Thank you for being you.

  • Rants more than reviews

Not insightful. They don’t actually talk much about filmmaking, mostly talk about politics.

Masters of the Universe + More Reviews
Q: What is Winter Hymns about and what inspired its Wisconsin focus?
Winter Hymns follows a palliative care doctor as she encounters a series of dying patients and their families, shot largely in one room to center on performances; the Wisconsin setting reflects the filmmaker's roots and aims to showcase local talent.
Disclosure Day + The Furious + More Reviews
Q: What drew you to making Stop! That! Train! and how did you approach balancing spoof humor with action set pieces?
The hosts discuss that the film blends airplane‑style parody with a fast, tight 90‑minute structure, and praise the film's pacing and practical humor, while noting some jokes may be polarizing for audiences.
Hollywood on the Rocks: Disclosure Day Early Review
Q: What was it like working with Uwe Boll and adapting to the Croatian film environment?
Boll explains the film-friendly Croatian infrastructure, the permissive approach to shooting, and the decision to combine a German crew with international talent to keep the project agile and energetic.
Hollywood on the Rocks: Disclosure Day Early Review
Q: How did you get involved with Citizen Vigilante and what drew you to the project?
Hammer describes being approached by Uwe Boll, the improvisational, run-and-gun shooting style in Croatia, and the collaborative energy that made the indie production feel like a true, fast-paced creative space.
The Mandalorian & Grogu + Ladies First + Spider-Noir + More Reviews
Q: What did you think about In The Grey and would you recommend it?
The film is not recommended; it overemphasizes plan-talk and visual exposition, making it feel like a six-hour movie compressed into 90 minutes. The strong cast is wasted by the structure; for some, it may work as a fast, stylish thriller, but overall it disappoints due to pacing and storytelling choices.
