伊斯蘭教及穆斯林對於台灣人來說，是個神祕的存在。一方面，台灣人身邊現在有很多由印尼等伊斯蘭國家到台灣工作的穆斯林移工，但另一方面，受到媒體的影響，許多台灣人對於穆斯林的印象，不外乎包括不吃豬肉、一天要祈禱五次、甚至是很多恐怖分子這種刻板印象。刻板印象當然有對有錯，但是讓我驚訝的是，即使是穆斯林占多數的馬來西亞，原來非穆斯林對於穆斯林也是有著種種正確與錯誤的刻板印象，這是我看完《祝福》這本書其中一個最大的收穫 -- 原來物理距離的遠近，不一定反映心理距離的遠近...
