  • Effed around and found out

I found this pod a few months ago and I’ve slowly and diligently been working through episodes and it’s been amazing. I listen while getting ready for work and when I find myself home alone. It’s like having friends around talking about things that truly matter. I’m in the diversity and equity field in academia. I’m a first gen college graduate so I’m still learning, unlearning, and relearning and this pod helps me do that. Thank you for all you do!

  • I love this podcast.

I am someone who is very interested in issues of liberation and have been through my own journey with my body. (Haven’t we all?)

This podcast has been a great supplement to the work I have done in eating disorder recovery. And bonus points that it’s also looking at issues of sex and sexuality, becuase it’s ALL intertwined.

    I love this podcast.

Q: My partner has become a Trump supporter, and I don't feel safe or able to stay. How do I approach this decision?
Assess safety and core values, consider therapy to work through the conflict and emotions, and recognize that prolonged exposure to harmful beliefs may necessitate difficult choices about staying or leaving, especially when rights and safety are at stake.
TTBE Ep. 46
Q: I want to peg my boyfriend, but he fears it will make him gay. How can we navigate this, including exploring boundaries and alternatives?
Start with open dialogue about safety, consent, and assumptions; validate both partners' feelings, discuss potential compromises like using smaller toys or alternative sexual activities, and address insecurities about masculinity and orientation without pressuring a specific outcome.
TTBE Ep. 46
Q: Dear Dr. Sexy Fat, I've recently gained weight and my husband has stopped initiating sex. How can we rekindle intimacy while addressing his possible attraction changes?
Acknowledge the reality without blaming the body, explore what attraction means to both of them, examine how pornography or media may shape expectations, and consider collaborative strategies to expand their shared sense of desire, possibly with a sex therapist to facilitate the conversation.
Thunder Thighs and Bedroom Eyes, Ep. 30 - Ask Dr. SexyFat, Pt. 2!
Q: My partner prefers when I shave my genitals, but it is uncomfortable for me. What do I do?
