We all need to deepen our appreciation for the labour involved in creating the clothes we are privileged to wear. A glance at the origins of many of our garments will reveal that our choices help contribute to the problems we hear of in this podcast series. The change begins with me.
The fact that I am listening to this podcast indicates that I come from a place of privilege. This is an excellent podcast for anyone who cares about the ethical treatment of all humans and especially the women who are dominate in the garment industry. It is our responsibility to spread the word on the poor treatment of our fellow humans who are making our clothes for less than livable wages where large companies are benefitting off cheap labour so they can offer us fast fashion we barely end ... more
