I sometimes wonder what Fair Folk might sound like if Danica spent some time in a small town in Mississippi, sitting down with people who work at an IHOP or Walmart and simply listening to them. Their stories, their music, their spirituality, their family traditions, their food, their relationship to place. That is folk, too. I am grateful to have found this lovely podcast. Danica brings a beautiful balance of connection to pre-Christian European folk practices and how to respectfully practice on the land of wherever you reside. I live on Treaty 4 land on Turtle Island and am learning to connect to my ancestral pagan Germanic roots. Every episode I learn something new about myself and what has been passed to me through generations without understanding its origins. I highly recommend!
