Even as a person who has read HDM upwards of 5 times, this podcast made me see even more in it than I did before
Both hosts are a joy to listen to. They go deep and don’t shy away from the largeness of Pullman’s world(s). They’ve got me pausing the podcast and rewinding, taking mental notes, and getting into long philosophical questions about free will with my partner. Thank you for finally giving this series the time and attention it deserves. ❤️
Decided to search out a HDM podcast whilst currently reading the Secret Commonwealth and I’m so glad to have a stumbled upon this. The hosts have great insight not only into this series, but into literature in general. They have great chemistry, great extra features and I feel like I’m learning stuff that I had either forgotten about the books and plain didn’t pick up on. Can’t recommend this enough if you’re a fan of the series!
So lovely to re read on of my alltime favorites with you. Thanks!
As a long-time PotterCast listener, and someone who read His Dark Materials as a child and young adult, I am so down for Melissa and Will’s thoughts and analysis, which has brought me back to this incredible series
