I wanted to learn about the environment and how it affects climate and food delivery systems but this show focuses more on the credentials and work experience of the guests which serve no real purpose.

  • Bag of d!cks

Started listening to the episode with Severin Sorensen and it’s just men talking about the things they have done to increase American inequality. Deregulation of the airlines led to the death of unions in the 80s, which has slowly devastated unions all over America. The inequality doesn’t stop there, smaller hubs are having to pay airlines great sums of money to keep those hubs open, above and beyond the costs of a ticket. I also don’t believe service on airlines has improved since, nor does the... more

  • Poorly hosted and boring

The host does a terrible job of laying out the issues and making it interesting. Questions don’t stay on topic and his personal connections to guest prevent this show from being inclusive.

Each show needs to present a clear issue, past issues that need to change and future opportunities that we can address. Then make sure it’s understandable to everyone.

Carbon Pricing and Climate Policy: A Conversation with Yale Professor Ken Gillingham
Q: If you had two minutes to explain the core economic case for climate policy to a skeptical listener, what would you say?

The Prospects for Climate Adaptation: A Conversation with Matthew Kahn
Q: What is your take on California's climate policies as a policy laboratory?
California's policies, particularly AB 32, provided important guinea pig lessons about policy design, implementation, and the economic responses of firms, with potential lessons for other states and regions.
The Prospects for Climate Adaptation: A Conversation with Matthew Kahn
Q: Where did you grow up and how did that shape your interest in the environment?
Growing up in New York City during difficult times showed me how pollution and quality of life intersect, which seeded my interest in the environment and public policy.
COP30 and the Prospects for Climate Coalitions: A Conversation with Cathryn Wolfram
Q: What advice would you offer to young people thinking of attending COP31?
Cathryn recommended it as an enriching experience where one would engage directly with world leaders on climate issues and experience vibrant discussions and protests.
COP30 and the Prospects for Climate Coalitions: A Conversation with Cathryn Wolfram
Q: How do you view the criticisms that characterized COP30 as a failure or disappointment?
Cathryn argued that while the lack of strong fossil fuel phase-out commitments was disappointing, other outcomes could have been much worse, and highlighted the importance of participation.
