I enjoy Joey’s short form videos, and I watch them on youtube, but they shouldn’t be on the main podcast feed.
Also, it seems there has only been one “real” episode in months, and that one had a heavy visual component.
People listen to podcasts while they do other things like commuting or doing chores, where there’s no way to look at charts.
It’s cool if the guys are vacationing or dealing with real life, but usually hiatuses are announced 🤷🏻♀️

A few things have slowly started to change about this show and I feel like it took a quality hit.
The show used to release on Fridays, but then switched to Mondays with no announcement. Not that big of a deal, but a little blurb on an upcoming scrapple change would have been nice.
Dana and Matt were gone for an extended time. Dana still seems to be gone. I don’t need to know anyone personal schedule and they owe me nothing, but again, it would just be nice to hear what’s going on with the st... more
Love the dad jokes, I don’t love the funny name callouts. I’d be mortified and upset if I paid money to support them and they did that to me. The content is thoughtful and interesting and I aspire to build and play like they do. The Command Zone YouTube and podcast is like a 100 or 200 level college class while EDHRec is 300-400 level. They work with the understanding that you have a very proficient knowledge of commander, the frequently seen cards and commanders. It also ages better and is a pl... more
I’ve listened to Dana, Matt, and Joey for close to 3 years now, and the work they put into the show is obvious. The amount of stats they track on their own time is phenomenal. And there are times they make me laugh while I’m at work listening to the podcast. There are times where episodes do feel forced as if they don’t have other ideas.. but the content must keep rolling to pay bills. So I get it.
My biggest gripe is the political stuff that gets snuck in every other episode, and for a while ... more
I find this podcast awesome because of how much they talk about one of my favorite games. I also love dad jokes. 83 squirrels out of 53 stars
