  • Scott Rich has low EQ

I thought I enjoyed Scott Rich as a new participant. But now you can toss him. I hope Jason comes back at him for his defense of Nik. Scott has no comprehension of the animus toward UConn in the fan base. He is oblivious to the history—of talks as if he is. He may have high IQ but he is in the bottom 5% on EQ! Just an idiot! He can take his advice about this is the way it will be in the NIL era and we should wish Nik well and sell it on another podcast. We don’t need him or Nik anymore—unless Sc... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#829 - NBA Draft Preview: Isaiah Evans (w/ Jay Bilas)
Q: Where do you think is the ceiling on the defensive end in the NBA?
The ceiling is not about becoming an elite all-defensive player, but he has the length and athleticism to be a solid defender who can guard multiple positions and contribute on the perimeter while still being a threat on offense.
#820 - Rick Palmer Breaks Down John Blackwell's Game
Q: What do you think is the best part about his game and what fans should be excited about?
Palmer highlights his ball-handling progression, defensive potential, and the fit with the Duke system, emphasizing his playmaking ability and leadership on the floor rather than just scoring.
#813 - Jordan Brenner analyzes the NCAA Tournament thus far
Q: What would Caleb Foster's return mean for the rotation and defense against St. John's?
A return would boost Duke's perimeter defense and ball-handling ability, allowing Boozer to complement him more effectively and potentially create a stronger overall guard rotation against pressure.
#813 - Jordan Brenner analyzes the NCAA Tournament thus far
Q: But just give me your general assessment of what this team has done to this point.
Jordan emphasizes that Duke has balanced winning now with bringing injured players back, highlighting Ngongba's impact and the potential return of Caleb Foster, while noting the team isn't at full strength yet and must optimize a deep but slightly limited rotation.
DBR Bites #151 - Caleb Foster, Pat Ngongba Out For ACC Tournament
Q: Who might handle point guard duties if Cayden Boozer isn't playing the full slate?
Scheyer described a by-committee approach where one through five can initiate the offense, with Nick Hemenia emerging as a real option, and Cam Boozer or Malik Brown able to handle ball-handling duties as needed.
