  • Good stuff!!!

I LOVE listening to Dan’s “Drop Everything” podcasts. I have been a professional juggler and entertainer for many years and have worked with a number of his subjects. No matter how well I think I know someone, I manage to always learn something new about them, their act or their career. Dan always gives great interviews and his love for juggling and jugglers comes thru in every podcast. A MUST LISTEN for anyone interested in the history of Juggling.

  • Goldmine of the world of juggling

The Drop Everything podcast has been an educational and enjoyable resource over the past few years. While Dan usually chats with folks who are quite accomplished in the various disciplines of juggling, the base principles that are discussed apply to all jugglers, and are especially helpful to those who perform at any level. You don't need to perform on cruise ships to take away valuable lessons from those who do. The variety of folks is appreciated (performers, historians, teachers, legends), an... more

Drop Everything Podcast Episode 142: Nick Polini
Q: What impact did the America's Got Talent appearance have on your career?
The AGT appearance highlighted his brand; although Simon Cowell initially seemed negative, the overall experience contributed to his visibility and later opportunities, including a stronger promo reel and renewed credibility in the industry.
Drop Everything Podcast Episode 142: Nick Polini
Q: Explain how you got on The Tonight Show for the first time with Jimmy Fallon.
Nick explains that a care package with a Glockenspiel led to posting a video of the trick; the clip went viral on social platforms, People Are Awesome reposted it (without tagging him), and Fallon's team reached out after noticing the clip, leading to a multi-month rehearsal process before performing successfully on the show.
Drop Everything Podcast Episode 141: Chris Garcia
Q: What intrigued you about the Diabolo and how did it become your main prop?
He details how he joined a high school juggling club, learned with friends, and was drawn to the Diabolo after mentors like Matt Hall introduced him to the prop and its many possibilities, eventually making it his primary focus over other props.
Drop Everything Podcast Episode 141: Chris Garcia
Q: First of all, Diablo or Diabolo? What's the difference and which one do you use?
Garcia explains it depends on the client and context; many speakers use both terms interchangeably, while some audiences react differently to the devil-tinged name, so he defaults to Diabolo in formal contexts and Diablo in casual speech.
Drop Everything Podcast Episode 139: Alan Howard
Q: How did you get into writing and publishing within the juggling world?
Howard explains that writing and publishing grew organically from a love of writing, collaboration with Stan Allen, and becoming associate editor and editor of Juggle Magazine, ultimately leading to his role as publisher.
