I am a relatively new parent to a child with Ds and found these podcasts to be quite informative, reassuring and entertaining. Thanks guys!!
Just came across this great DS podcast by 3 dads. Great information with an easy going format.
Hi Down Right Awesome Dads
I am a father of two sons in the UK aged three and four, Dylan is the four year old and has DS. I find your podcasts extremely informative and at the same time really easy to listen to due to the friendly laid back format. It feels like I sat in the room with a bunch of other DS Dads, chatting about various issues and sharing stories about our children. I particularly like the news of the week item in which you share amusing stories and milestones your own children... more
Just had our first baby in October 2012. She was diagnosed with T21 and we basically lived in the hospital for 7 weeks (doing much better now at home).
There I found this podcast and a few other good blogs that shared personal stories and resources... this was obviously not the path we chose, but having resources like DRA-DS Radio sure helps along the way.
We certainly appreciate the shared experiences from the Down Syndrome Community and I am getting inspired to share our own stories soon.
Just a quick note to say how useful and encouraging I'm finding the podcast. I'm an avid listener from the UK and soon to be dad. My wife and I found out a few weeks ago that our baby (due 15th October) will be born with Down Syndrome. The timing of you starting the podcast and me finding it couldn't have been better. The information, encouragement, stories and interesting guest speakers have been a great support to me.
Keep up the great work and Thank You!
Good going you two. This is good coming from two fathers.
A refreshing take on fatherhood and parenting a child with Down Syndrome. These guys bring a human perspective to a medical diagnosis-their mix of day to day family life and important factual information makes for a great listen.
Incredibly happy to see this podcast out there. The DS community needed something like this and I wish you the best in producing many more episodes to come! The podcast covers DS topics from a new dad's point of view with contributions from experts on various topics. The guys are easy to listen to and keep it interesting and informative! Great job and I wish you years of success with this!
Thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work and LOVE the song!
There needed to be a podcast on Down Syndrome. Keep up the good work!
