  • Highly Recommend - wow

This is a great companion to the doc Dope is Death and really addresses the context of The War of Drugs and the importance of health care as a right for all peoples. So much interesting information about Mutuly Shakur, Black Power and The Young Lords and their quest to heal their communities and at large. more

  • Are you ready?

No, you’re not. There are so many twists and turns and characters and forces at work and conspirators and locations that you won’t be able to keep from falling out of the vehicle that is this podcast. Just try to hold on as we zip from some random guy in Montreal treating lumberjacks with acupuncture to the heroin infested streets of Harlem to rural China with barefoot Black Panther doctors to a cell of a federal prison with Tupac’s stepdad! Did I give it all away? Not even close!

  • Dope is Death Podcast

This is a great follow up to the documentary. Another chapter in the history of communities of color that has previously been overlooked and accredited to others. Fascinating and motivating. Truly a story of people who saw the need to rise up, take action, and not depend on the government or institutions to take care of their community.
