Back in the late 80s, Clint Eastwood directed a movie about jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker. It starred Forest Whitaker and currently stands at 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. So, this must be a good movie, right? Well, the boys take a look.

Show Notes It's here at last. Our 300th episode! And what could be a better way to celebrate it than looking at a movie that is over 80 years old? Would the movie 300 been a better idea? Probably, but we didn't think of that.

Did my best. Got 30 min into a show. All they did was tell all the action in the movie, in uninteresting detail. They didn’t understand any of the nuances of the movie. Meanings went right over their heads. They just made fun of things without grasping what was really going on. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and turned it off.
Perfect to listen to during my drive to and from work.
Lighthearted but full of information about each of the movies.
Great hosts with a fantastic sense of humor.

It’s the unexpected back door to the enlightened view and for that reason, I wish more people were listening. Their commentary is supportive, informative and affirming. Bonus that Joe does a bit of a history ... more

I listened to their shows and chuckled a bit, and the listened to a few more due to auto play and being out of other podcasts. Not going to lie…very fair to middling podcast. While it doesn’t follow the “two white guys yammering” stereotype, it’s not far off. As far as I can tell neither host has any qualification to talk about film, and seem, quite often to miss the point. This is especially tr... more
