Dilemmas On Screen: A Jewish Perspective

For example, can someone be so evil that there’s a point of no return? Do the ends justify the means, either on a personal or societal level? Are we allowed to take revenge? How about pranking someone... more

  • Outstanding and thought provoking.

I LOVED IT. Such a rich discussion. They really commit to the intentions of the movies, and explore at length. All angles are considered that I wouldn’t have thought of, and ground them in Jewish ethics and law. Very worthwhile way to spend my podcast time.

  • How to turn all those movies I watched into a thoughtful discussion

I watched a lot of movies in my past life, and they take up a lot of space in my brain. This podcast takes discussions about some of my favorite movies and turn those movies into relevant ideas and Torah discussions.

  • Great Topics and Discussion

Since the Harry Potter episode, I have been hooked. I always loved listening to podcasts on pop culture, but I felt like they were generally missing something. Dilemmas on Screen has been a perfect blend of my interest in movies and Judaism. Ofir does a fantastic job of discussing interesting topics and tying them to Jewish concepts I’ve been seeking to learn about - whether actively or passively. Will definitely continue to listen, and very excited for what’s coming next!
