  • Plenty of good information about diesels passed around in many of the episodes but I think it's particularly uninteresting the more they trend into personal opinions on stuff that's only tangentially related.

The Blue VP44 Is Ready To Throw Down | Patrick Brown AMSOIL UCC 2026
Q: What went wrong at UCC last year and how are you addressing it this year?
The standalone controller and Wi‑Fi tuner setup caused miscommunications and a zero-tuning state during dyno and drag passes, so I'm fixing the wiring, ensuring robust, wired-controller reliability, and pursuing a dual-VP44 setup with a carefully designed front cover and gear timing to prevent a similar failure.
The Blue VP44 Is Ready To Throw Down | Patrick Brown AMSOIL UCC 2026
Q: What inspired you to pursue the VP44 platform despite the common shifts to other technologies?
Growing up around farming and diesel-powered equipment, I learned to work with what's available and to find a solution no matter the hurdle; the VP44 platform became my way to stand out and push the engine to do multiple things, like sled pulling and endurance events, even if it's not the mainstream path.
We Are Excited For This 12 Valve | Jonny Hooper AMSOIL UCC 2026
Q: What is your goal for your rookie year in UCC 2026?
Finish all three events, have fun, and push to reach a thousand horsepower on the dyno, while learning to drive the setup effectively.
After A Promising Start His Rookie Campaign, He Looks To Push His Duramax To The Podium | Cody Hawk UCC2026
Q: What are the major upgrades this year and why?
They moved from a factory LB7 controller to a Bosch standalone system, upgraded the DuraFlight turbo setup, and swapped to a Rosler Turbo 400, aiming for better data, control, and reliability ahead of competition.
After A Promising Start His Rookie Campaign, He Looks To Push His Duramax To The Podium | Cody Hawk UCC2026
Q: Can you give us a little background on your history and how you got into diesel to get to this point?
Cody explains growing up around their family construction company, switching to Duramax in 2003, and building a half-million-mile, 1,200 horsepower in-house pulling truck, which led to setting a 3140 horsepower chassis dyno world record and pursuing high-performance goals.
