Okay, so if you’re looking for a polished, all-business play through of IL, this ain’t it, chief. But damn are these guys ever funny, and they lean into their refusal to be “content producers”. And good for them. I’m old enough to remember the Internet when people were just putting up blogs or weird videos or Flash animations or whatever without worrying about making money off it. This is that kind of podcast. And it results in some surprising moments of emotional depth and sincerity.
Completely misses the dark tone of Delta Green and Impossible Landscapes, instead full of 'crazy shenanigans', inappropriate poor-taste humour, and irreverent jokey banter. The GM describes 99% of things as 'strange'. None of the players seem to know any of the game rules, and the GM makes a total mess of the rules especially when it comes to combat. I stopped listening after the RPG carcrash that was episode 7.
I can be pretty picky about the podcasts I listen to and as they get more exposure the better their sound quality is getting, what they already have though is a natural talent for being entertaining and fun players to listen to! That being said! Give them a listen you won’t regret it!
Serious at the right time, funny at the right time. Love these guys
Fantastic! Great work by a skilled Handler. Brilliantly fun combination of characters that had me laughing at the hilarious quick witted jibes and perfect timing. Such inspired lines as; “I have some writing to do”, “Yes…yes you do”🤣”This piece of paper makes my eyes hurt…everyone come and look at it”. Anyway, if you love the delta green universe, or just actual plays in general check this out for some great role playing by some great people.
