I don’t normally write reviews for podcasts, but the most recent episode “Was anything useful learned from WWII Human Experimentation” is such a hard hitting and a difficult subject that Simon expertly navigates, it moved me to write this review. This episode is a hard but necessary listen. But also, don’t worry if that’s not your get too,, most episodes are about aliens and magic and ghosts too, and they are a lot lighter!

Episodes frequently weigh primary sources, linguistic gaps, and archival evidence against sensational narratives, often resisting paranormal or conspiratorial explanations. A standout pattern is a skeptical lens combined with humor and accessible storytelling, making complex topics (from ancient ruins to modern hoaxes) approachable for curious, evidence-minded listeners. Notable strengths include rigorous fact-checking, deep dives into archival material, and a format that blends history with pop‑culture mystique, attracting audiences who enjoy curious puzzles without easy answers.
