EP 38 — How to Fix DeFi with Andre Cronje
Q: What do you think is holding back innovation in DeFi?
I think we are seeing a stagnation because people are fearful of risk and exploits, which leads to a lack of funding and innovation. The need for better oracles and primitives is clear, but the fear of exploits holds people back from taking the necessary risks.
EP 38 — How to Fix DeFi with Andre Cronje
Q: What advice do you have for builders in the DeFi space today?
My number one advice has always been the same: I don't think building in this space is a smart thing. If for whatever reason you decide to go with it, lean into doing it very publicly. Have a Twitter, have your GitHub open-source, let other people view it.
Ep 13 - Gin Chao from NLH
Q: How do you approach venture investing in crypto compared to traditional investment methods?
While we focus mainly on early-stage projects, we remain open to investing in established projects, emphasizing our intent to guide and support them strategically.
Ep 13 - Gin Chao from NLH
Q: What excites you about current investment opportunities in the crypto space?
Emerging applications of blockchain in healthcare, education, and AI present intriguing opportunities for the future.
Ep 13 - Gin Chao from NLH
Q: How do you see the cycles themselves having evolved within crypto?
Crypto is still advancing along the natural technology adoption curve, much like the internet did, with significant potential for reduced volatility in future cycles.
