  • Great podcast!

This has become one of my favorite podcasts!

They get great guests and I love the two hosts and their perspectives—like Alex Leff’s podcast, I appreciate how the book Ishmael is a major influence throughout the podcast but with a focus on agriculture, food sovereignty and factory farming, and the attempt to figure out the true meaning of regenerative farming, rooted in recognizing the importance of connecting with land

#65 Allan Savory - Our Collective Need to See the World Holistically
Q: Can you explain what a holistic context is?
A holistic context is a comprehensive framework that helps people in any situation decide how they want their lives to be by grounding decisions in their deepest cultural beliefs, then describing the environment and behaviors needed to sustain future generations; it uses no prejudice and links life-supporting behavior to environmental realities.
28 Years Later: Embracing Zombies, Death, and the Gilmore Girls | BONUS EPISODE
Q: What initially drew you to 28 Days Later and how does 28 Years Later reinterpret that world?
The hosts discuss the intimate human stories in the sequel, its localized England setting, and how Spike's coming-of-age becomes the central thread, rather than the global zombie apocalypse.
#64 Helena Norberg-Hodge - Resisting the Machine World and Turning Toward Life
Q: How is localization an antidote to so many of these problems?
Localization creates visibility and interdependence, allowing us to appreciate our impact on both the natural world and our communities.
#64 Helena Norberg-Hodge - Resisting the Machine World and Turning Toward Life
Q: What has been the experience like for you, having this moment where you're coming back to Ladakh after 50 years, but with this group of your global community?
It's been wonderful to see the shifts in Ladakh and the empowerment coming from grassroots movements rejecting the globalized consumer culture.
