Reminds me of Batman the audio adventures. I’ve always been a fan of Year one, Dark Victory and of course the long Halloween.
If it’s your goal to irritate listeners that are waiting for the next episode to drop, indicating that the podcast was recently updated when it clearly has NOT been updated is certainly a good way to do it. ———————That’s not deceptive at all and people Loooove deceptive….
Adapting the best stories, this Batman adaptation is near perfect. The voices and music flow nicely and the story’s contain the depth of the comics they adapt and are easy to follow.
The DC High Volume: Batman series is simply amazing! For someone like me who has to wear noise canceling headphones most of the day for work, it’s a great alternative to listening to music. I’ve tried other audiobooks while working but they were more of a distraction rather than being complementary. The ambient sounds, and the flawless delivery of the voice actors, takes me to the heart of the stories that I’ve known and loved. I look forward to each episode. Great work, DC!
Did you forget while recording that this is meant to be received in audio format? Meaning especially with the inexplicably louder-than-dialog sound effects, your performers needed to be told to ENUNCIATE. You had all the tools here to make something great and you mumbled it away during all the drinking and breathing sounds that you made several aggregate minutes’ worth of in the two episodes I struggled to listen to.
