大藏经的课程，是按历史的发展，分为上下两部分，共240集。上部，讲大藏经与‘敦煌遗书’的缘起，发展，写经，和大藏经的构建原理。下部，讲自北宋《开宝藏》，辽《契丹藏》，直至《清龙藏》。遍历1000年内，中国刻本大藏经，所有的版本。《大藏经》是所有佛法的基石，有熟悉一部经的，有熟悉几部经的，但极少有人能熟悉整部《大藏》因为，大藏经，经过历代增补，从最初《开源录》所定的5480卷，发展到最后《龙藏》的，7240卷，9000余万字。

上一课，我们讲——《嘉兴藏》是我国目前存世的唯一一部完整的“方册刻本大藏经”，它的优点是不用说的，一目了然，就是——用较少的篇幅容纳较多的内容！不管是生产环节、流通环节、收藏环节，成本都显著降低。从它的雕造、到印刷、到流通、到收藏、到携带……方册本的佛经和传统梵夹装的佛经比，那方便与便利差得不是一点两点！
自清·乾隆之后，中国就没有再刻过新版的《大藏经》。后面，我们看到的还有，比如说什么……民国的“普慧藏”啊、建国以后的“中华藏”啊……那些《大藏经》啊，不是影印的就是铅字排版的，“刻板大藏经”到... more
上一课，我们讲——《清·龙藏》和《明·嘉兴藏》它们刻完的时间相去不远，《清·龙藏》的刻经板属于保存完好的活文物！它还在，并且能用。那《嘉兴藏》的经板还在不在呢？现在不在了……但是几十年前还在！它藏在径山脚下化城寺的旧墙里。这个化城寺就是《嘉兴藏》最后的那个刻藏地，就在这个寺庙的院墙里……院墙它是个夹墙。
清朝的钱谦益在这个……他的文集，叫作《牧斋初学集》里写过一篇“化城寺重建大殿疏”……就是讲——化城寺重建的这么一篇文章。在这篇疏里，他记载——《嘉兴藏》的经板最终的去向。因为到了清乾隆朝，对吧…... more
上一课，我们讲——《嘉兴藏》从五台山南迁到浙江径山之后，先是稳定地刻了四十年，然后就进入了刻藏的最后一个阶段。这个阶段，就跨了明、清两个朝代——从明朝的崇祯六年，到清朝的康熙五十年才最终完成。
明末清初，中国处于一个大动荡的年代！在这种环境下，《嘉兴藏》的刊刻必然要受到影响。在这个阶段，所刻佛经的题记里可以看出很多变化：
