Yet another long and rambling discussion covering the problem of evil, things like existential inertia, and various ideas we’ve been thinking about to tackle contemporary objections.
Read the context guys….. So many of these famous passages backfire hard.
Compared to what? In what circumstances? What are the pros and cons? All of these things we will be addressing.

Jake is an exceedingly engaging and multifaceted host and gives his fascinating talks on many different areas. More specifically, I have been fascinated by his talks on Aquinas’ 4th Way which have opened my eyes to the true strength of the argument. Jake illustrates the key points of the argument by using more modern and understandable examples but does so without taking away from the original argument. I look forward to listening to more of the episodes from this gold mine of a podcast!
Jake’s podcast is the ideal blend of deep philosophical insight with witty, lighthearted banter. Serious topics are routinely covered in an accessible way. Definitely subscribe to this one if you’re interested in deepening your understanding of the Catholic faith and its rich philosophical tradition.
Jake is a highly engaging speaker that covers topics that I’ve not heard on other podcasts. Loving the show!!! A+
I really like the way in which Jake looks not only on catholic teaching but also how it cashes out in the real world. We can’t be hearers of the word only but doers. To me, this podcast is perfectly balances the academic and pragmatic elements.
I love the Leviticus series!! Please continue!!!
