I appreciate episode 5 that addresses food insecurity and social determinants of health, however race wasn’t mentioned once and you can’t talk about these issues without also discussing the structural racism that is the root cause of food insecurity.
Please make another series. This was very informative- I learnt a lot about nutrition, and I love how papers are frequently cited throughout the podcast. It gives you further reading to do and also emphasises that this is an evidence based source of information. As a medic, I am aware of the fog that is nutrition within doctoral roles, and I hadn’t really thought much about the impact of nutritional biases before I listened to this series.
