  • Truth hurts!

Amazing info and so much truth in these podcasts! So many people are blinded and have so much cognitive dissonance… this podcast brings all those topics to life. Both speakers have incredible knowledge and anyone who is currently in this space or are going down those rabbit holes, I can assure you, this is such a great resource. Highly recommend.

  • Influencers who think they’re healthcare professionals

Firstly, the audio quality is terrible and the episodes are not edited so that the listener is hearing the outtakes and silences. But to discuss the measles and use clips from scripted tv shows- the Brady Bunch and Law and Order to make a point is just lazy nonsense. As a crunchy mom myself my hopes were high to find a legitimate intelligent podcast which balances integrative and modern medicine, research and facts. This ain’t it.

  • Misinformation galore

Two smug people who think they are much smarter than they actually are. They sound ridiculous and Brandy, in particular, has the most annoying voice.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 14 Conventionally Crunchy: A Physician Assistant Questions the System
Q: What was your personal experience with vaccines during pregnancy, and how did that shape your views on maternal vaccination and infant protection?
She shares pregnancy experiences around Tdap vaccination, maternal antibodies, and potential interactions with infant immunity, highlighting how personal health events influenced her evolving perspective on maternal and child vaccination.
Episode 14 Conventionally Crunchy: A Physician Assistant Questions the System
Q: Can you explain herd immunity and why pertussis might be different in terms of vaccine contribution to herd protection?
She explains that herd immunity can occur naturally or via vaccination, but not all vaccines contribute equally; pertussis illustrates how natural immunity, maternal antibodies, and vaccine-induced protection interact, with some vaccines reducing severity rather than transmission.
Episode 14 Conventionally Crunchy: A Physician Assistant Questions the System
Q: Katie, what led you to become a physician assistant and how does that shape your view on bridging conventional and crunchy approaches?
Katie describes a path from a conventional, vaccine-based background toward a bridge-between-worlds approach, valuing medical training while acknowledging its flaws and the need to address root causes and individual patient context.
Why Your Coffee Might Be Making You Sick (And the Clean Alternative You Haven’t Heard Of)
Q: Why did you decide to focus on organic and toxin-free decaf specifically?
We wanted to create the healthiest possible coffee option, including decaf, because many people have caffeine sensitivities or mold sensitivities. Organic and Swiss water processing reduce toxins, and our decaf is designed to be free from chemicals, ensuring a cleaner baseline for sensitive customers.
