  • Only about Carnival and Royal

They talk as if they are reviewing cruising from across multiple cruise lines but every thing they say is about Carnival or Royal only. This is especially egregious in the dining episode but is true of the what they like about cruising episode too. I think they maybe haven’t been on other cruise lines so they don’t know what applies to other cruise lines or not. They should just change the name of the podcast to make it clear that one likes Carnival and one likes Royal and that they are experts ... more

Symphony of the Seas Review w/ The Davises Travel | Roaring Riot Cruise
Q: How did you decide to allocate time and spend on add-ons like the Royal Beach Club and Izumi Hibachi during the sailing?
We weighed the value of bundled experiences (food, drink, and access) against standalone costs, finding that for Nassau and the Beach Club, the all-in package offered a good balance of amenities and access, while Izumi Hibachi added a special dining experience that we prioritized when available on the itinerary.
Norwegian Breakaway Review: Boston to Halifax & Bermuda w/ Pam
Q: What stood out most about the Breakaway's entertainment and crowd levels on sea days?
The ensemble was incredibly talented, with a strong lineup including Rumors and Burn the Floor; however, venues—especially Headliners—felt crowded due to ship density. We appreciated the balance of main theater shows and smaller events, and enjoyed watching World Cup games across multiple venues.
Norwegian Breakaway Review: Boston to Halifax & Bermuda w/ Pam
Q: How did you manage reservations and dining credits on board, and would you do anything differently next time?
We used the three specialty dining credits included in Free at Sea but found reservations tricky initially; we ended up dining without reservations on two occasions and used walk-up seating, which worked. For next time, we'd consider scheduling specialty dining toward the end of the cruise to balance MDR and dining credits more predictably.
Norwegian Breakaway Review: Boston to Halifax & Bermuda w/ Pam
Q: What motivated you to choose embarking from Boston and the Breakaway for Bermuda with an overnight in Bermuda?
We wanted a convenient departure point with easy access from Connecticut, and the Breakaway offered an itinerary that included Bermuda with an overnight, which allowed us to see more of the island without a ship-based excursion. It also gave us a chance to experience Norwegian's layout and entertainment balance firsthand.
Carnival Pride Review: Celebration Key & RelaxAway Half Moon Cay w/ Kasey
Q: How did you find the embarkation and disembarkation experiences compared to other cruises you've taken?
Embarkation in Baltimore felt slower due to port and TSA factors, but the disembarkation was very smooth, especially after Diamond/Platinum, allowing a quicker exit.
