  • Intelligent and Detailed

I get the feeling that David Blakeslee is usually the smartest guy in the room and Trevor Berrett is great. The Fassbinder two parter was thorough and informative, as is every episode I have heard.

This is a cherished podcast that I keep returning to. I love the in-depth conversations that David and Trevor have about some minor and often overlooked works of great directors. I appreciate the time and thought they put into all of their podcasts. Keep up the great work!

  • Excellent!

David and Trevor provide a great resource here keeping the discussion going on the Eclipse series published by the Criterion collection. Looking forward to second listens as I work my way through the series myself.

  • The Only Game In Town for Eclipse!

Barely starting my journey through the Criterion Eclipse but there would be no better resource than this podcast in helping you navigate these almost forgotten films! Plus my first foray in the Criterion Blogathon of 2015 is from the Eclipse set from Mr. Kobayashi! " I will buy you. " #Blueclipse

David and Trevor revew and recap one boxset of the Eclipse series (presented by the Criterion Collection) per month. The series features oft overlooked and misappreciated films and discovering a new-to-the-viewer masterpiece is not an uncommon occurance. The films are obscure enough that few people review the sets or discuss them, even on forums. In that regard, David and Trevor's discussions fill a rather large void.
