Excellent creative insights for the commute
I always listen to my podcast on the drive into work, and the drive home.I’ve enjoyed writing’s interviews and insights that he has got it immensely over the past few months. He gets great, talented people and through his friendly chat uncovers wonderful insights about their journey, learnings and practices. Q: Okay. Well, I want to zoom in on crafting of the stories because imagine someone's listening to this, has never written a song in their life, or lyrics, or never tried anything. Tell me like I've never written a song before, where does a song come from?

It usually starts from a feeling, a mood you want to express; a melody may appear first, and words often come afterward, sometimes the melody leads and the words follow, and you can lean on shared human experiences to tell a coherent story.

The Five Idea Keys are sequential exercises—Spark, Person, Place, Energy, Offer—that you must work through in order. They are part of a broader approach called the Minimum Viable Brand, a scrappy, action-focused process inspired by Lean Startup ideas. The goal is to test ideas with real people early, learn from the feedback, and iterate quickly rather than sinking resources into ideas that aren't validated.
