Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

EPISODE 233: NICOLE GOUX
Q: What's good advice for people who want to get into the comic industry?
Always starting small is important; getting bad drawings out on shorter stories is key to learning and improving.
EPISODE 234: MACIEJ GLIWA
Q: When did you start making Vision?
Vision is more like means to one end. I just wanted that tool. And from my professional experience, working as an episodic director, I figured there is a better way of doing this.
EPISODE 234: MACIEJ GLIWA
Q: What are some good ways of learning Blender?
It's hard to know how to go about it due to the overwhelming number of tutorials available. It's beneficial to identify what specific aspect of Blender you want to learn.
EPISODE 232: HARPER SIMS
Q: Were you able to use any of those skills or friend searching skills, community searching skills for when you moved out to LA?
Harper discusses how he applied his community-building skills from Chicago to find groups and meet other artists in LA, seeking out physical spaces like comic shops.
EPISODE 231: BRANKO KLJAJIC
Q: How did you develop your own art style?
It's a mixture of inspiration from things I loved as a kid and continued drawing over the years.
