Really enjoyed your building a spy movie segment! It’s interesting that even prior to Bond, spy movies had certain tropes…Bond just did them better and they evolved into a formula that sustained the longest running movie franchise in history. Wish I could’ve connected with you at Gatherall! Had I known you were going to be there, I’d have searched you out! It was an incredible weekend that I will never forget, especially the shooting range event!
I have enjoyed Robert Davi’s performances, for years, especially as Franz Sanchez, but hearing his stories about “Licence To Kill”, his interactions with Cubby Broccoli, Timothy Dalton and Barbara Broccoli was enjoyable.
His experience with Frank Sinatra, his family history in Italy and Spain, his successful singing career and his love for our great Nation has made me appreciate this great American even more.
Robert Davi’s interview will make you appreciate him even more and will make you want... more
So in-depth and fun!!!
Belatedly listened to all 100+ minutes of the interview - superb, with many new (to me ) insights on the making of QoS, and confirmation of the difficulties that I feel are poorly understood by Bond fans - MGM, the Writers strike, the proposed Actors strike and of course the Great Financial Crisis. Great guy, fantastic cinematographer and above all, a very easy listen. Congrats guy!
