Fascinating. First time I’ve listened to a podcast-hooked
What a soft interview with Collins. When she didn’t answer their questions (eg about Brownlee’s comments) they didn’t press her at all but just let her deflect them away to other topics. And they didn’t ask her at all about her past involvement with Dirty Politics or the Oravida corruption. The only allusion to her past mistakes and controversies was saying “some of your caucus don’t like you and have said nasty things about you.” The podcast basically functioned as a fluff piece for National.
Great idea that might help increase participation and interest but the content is very scripted and robotic. The listening experience would be much improved if the dialogue flowed more naturally and less ‘put on’.
I would not have survived lockdown without you both. I enjoyed every episode and am so glad you are continuing. Honestly, I would have listened even if you were just reading Trade Me listings!
