a commentary track for jonny lee miller's magnum opus, 1995's sublime "Hackers".
as always, cpit consists of J, who is something of a hacker herself, Ariadne, who isn't, and Kyra, who is constantly bemused by the other two.

I’m a listener, not a slideshow-er, but I feel l get almost the entire package from this stream of pure geekery. Not for a second do J, Ariadne, or the Admiral talk down to listeners. Their assumption is that we’re smart, engaged and curious enough to follow. I just love this!
I hope there are more eps coming… I’ve been bingeing — yah I know, at like 2hrs a pop that takes dedication, but these are jam-packed with insightful, thoughtful, intelligent analysis — and sick burns too.

I love accident analysis and these gals and nonbinary pals do a great job of it! Lots of subject matter expertise, both in terms of engineering and aviation industry knowledge. You can tell they put tons of research time into every episode and it shows. I also love their dedication to including a list of any corrections to previous episodes in the podcasts themselves.
If you have access, watch the version available on YouTube; the slides add a lot.

Those of us who've been reading Kyra Dempsey aka Admiral Cloudberg's long-running series of excellently-detailed aviation accident analysis articles on Medium will probably all have thought at some point 'what if this was a podcast?' That said, this is well worth a listen if you're interested in aviation safety and human fact... more
